DIY: Artificial Fern in a Ceramic Pot

Sure, our artificial outdoor plants are UV protected and specifically designed for outdoor use, but did you know that they are also perfect for indoor use? Today, I took a single artificial fern and potted it in an adorable Nicole Miller pot. This project was so easy and quick. What a great way to spruce up a dark space or room that is lacking greenery. I plan on putting this potted fern up on top of my kitchen cabinets to liven things up a little bit.

Supplies:

Step 1:

Dump your river rocks into your pot until it is full. The number of rocks that you will need depends upon the size of your pot. My pot was nice and small, so one container of river rocks from Target is all I needed.

Step 2:

Take the stem of your fern and insert it into the rocks. The weight of the rocks will support the stem of the fern.

Step 3:

Starting at the base of the plant, start fanning out the individual branches of the fern. Spread them evenly around your pot until your fern is nice and full. When you are done you will have an incredibly realistic-looking potted fern that can be used anywhere, both inside and outside.
