Rosemary Topiary a Must in the Kitchen

People use topiary plants to decorate in a number of ways, but you’re probably going to be hard-pressed to find this sort of plant décor in a kitchen or dining room. Topiary plants make fabulous decorations in hallways and foyers but the can look a little out of place in spaces meant for cooking and eating—with one major exception: Rosemary topiary. Because rosemary is an herb used for cooking, its presence in the kitchen is fitting. It will remind people of fragrant Mediterranean dishes they love and inspire you to concoct gourmet meals.

The fragrance of alive rosemary topiary cannot be replaced, so keep at least one on the kitchen counter where you cook. But add an artificial rosemary plants or two as a centerpiece to your dining room table. These will be beautiful show pieces and you will not need to worry about watering and sunlight. Just anchor your rosemary topiary in decorative containers that suit the occasion and surrounding décor. Copper is complementary to a Mediterranean spread. Even good old terra cotta pots work. Just try to capture a vibe of rustic elegance because that is what really suites rosemary topiary best.

One size rosemary plant doesn’t fit all; nor does one shape. Luckily, you can mold yours to look any way you want. By pruning your rosemary plant you will determine the height, shape and fullness. Likewise, artificial rosemary topiary plants can be ordered in an array of styles from a traditional rosemary bush to spiral rosemary topiary creations. Thickness and color vary a bit, as well. If you’re taking the artificial route, start by viewing all the options available here, including potted and unpotted rosemary topiary. Enjoy planning your display!
