Many brides are going away from large cascading flower arrangements for more modern centerpieces. This is a great floral arrangement is an example of a simple, yet stunning arrangement that is easier than you may thing to achieve.  If you aren’t up for a project you can always buy this arrangement and ones like it right from your computer. If you need to customize it to meet the needs of your big day, here is how to do it.

Artificial Birds of Paradise Arrangement

Artificial Birds of Paradise Arrangement

What You Need

  • Oversized Vase
  • Large Artificial Stems
  • Pretty Greenery
  • Clear Glass Stones

Come up With a Plan
The first thing you need to do is decide how many centerpieces you will need. You will want one for each round table. If you have rectangular tables, decide whether you prefer to have one or two per table. You may also want some at an entry table or guest-signing table. Once you know how many you need you can start purchasing your products.

Pick a Flower
Start by deciding which flowers you want to feature in your centerpiece. A bird of paradise, orchids, lilacs, and anything with a nice, sturdy stem is a great choice for an arrangement such as this.

Choose a Vase
You have a couple different options when it comes to vases. You can start with a tall cylinder, a tall square, an oversized apothecary jar, or a large tapered vase. You can’t go wrong no matter what you choose, as long as you compare the measurement of the vase to the measurement of the flower so that you know it will fit nicely. You also want to make sure that the vase isn’t too much wider than the flowers that you are going to put in it.

Finishing Touches
Add a stem or two of greenery and place some glass stones in the bottom of the vase to hide the very bottom of the artificial stems. It is as simple as that to create a stunning arrangement! Under-light them, place them on a mirror, or surround them with tea lights to finish the look.
