Our customers are constantly asking us how to bring color into their home and one of our favorite decor tricks is to add artificial fruits or artificial vegetables to your home as an accent. One of my favorite methods is to put a small bowl of faux lemons in your bathroom with a lemon scent potpourri. Your visitors will see the lemons, smell the lemons and immediately think about how inviting your home is.

But why stop there? Our cotton stems are the latest trending home decor item that look amazing. Instead of a flower arrangement that is going to die in a week, decorate your foyer or your dining side table with a vase of cotton for a truly elegant look that matches every season

Our designers also love to use our lemon and orange topiary plants in small dark spaces. They remind us of a bonsai tree. Their rustic pots work well with a variety of decor looks, and can be dropped into something more modern if they are too rustic.

We also love to decorate with plastic vegetables. Add a bunch of artificial tomato sprays to a vase in your kitchen to bring your garden inside. Or add a bowl of tomatoes or bananas to your kitchen counter to brighten it up during the winter months without the fear of fresh fruit spoiling and smelling up your kitchen.

We love, love, love pops of color in a home. When I walk into someone’s abode locally to make an interior design call the first thing I think about is color. A home may have beautiful furniture, gorgeous paintings and house plants galore but if there aren’t pops of yellow, pink and red I’m ready to adjust. One simply way to accomplish this in the kitchen or dining room is to purchase a large vase and buy 6 apple or pomegranate branches to display. Place them on the credenza or serving table in the corner for that little pop. I promise you won’t be disappointed with the effect.
