Tip 1: Choose a Narrow, Slim, or Pencil Tree

They may have three different names but when it comes down to it, these are full-height trees with a tiny footprint. They are available in a wide range of heights, depending upon your space’s needs. Decorate them the same way you would a full width Christmas tree but use far fewer decorations to get the same look.

Tip 2: Go Crazy for Garland

Garlands are one of our very favorite Christmas
decorations because they can be used in such a
wide variety of ways. When it comes to small
spaces, floor space it at a premium but wall space
may not be. Drape doorways, swag curtain rods,
and enhance architectural features with plenty of
Christmas garlands. There are so many different
style to choose from so don’t be afraid to express
your personality or the personality of your home.

Tip 3: Bling out a Balcony

If you live in an apartment or condo that features an outdoor balcony, use that extra space to your advantage. Cover the railings in beautiful garlands and lights. Add a fire pit or a patio heater to keep you warm, even on the chilliest of winter nights. It may only be a couple square feet of space but a little bit of decorating can transform it into your own personal holiday oasis.

Tip 4: Illuminate Existing Decorations

With so many different types of Christmas lights available, you are no longer forced to purchase new Christmas decorations. Simply use a combination of lights to accentuate editing decorations. A strand of lights around a wall mirror or piled inside a basket can go a long way toward decorating the home for the holidays.

Tip 5: Transform All-Season Decorations

When it comes to holiday decorations, you don’t
have to start from scratch. Chances are, if you
have a small space, you also lack storage for large
items you are only going to use a month out of the
year. Instead, transform existing wreaths, baskets,
and vases with the addition of seasonal artificial
flowers and perhaps a wire-edged ribbon or two.
